The Holy Congregation of Radcliffe are those who have been touched by the Radcliffian Experience. The Congregation is global and there are some who do not even know they have been touched. ALL who follow the Path of Origin may consider themselves a Congregant of the Church of Radcliffe and enter into its Holy Covenant.
What follows is a loose 'hierarchy' of the Church of Radcliffe, and how the Congregation is generally organized. Within each classification can exist a multitude of structuring. Organizational hierarchy is considered mutable and thus subject to change on a situational basis. Only the Founders can really claim to be Heads of Church.
The Founders
The Founders number three. By their word did the Church of Radcliffe come to form and herald in a new era of enlightenment. By their Will doth the Church continue to thrive.
The Nine
There are nine heads of the Church of Radcliffe. In addition to the founders, six others have been selected at random to serve on the ruling body of the Church. From these nine stem the Radcliffian Zodiac. At the heart of the Nine are the Three (Founders).
The Quorum of Twelve
The Quorum was chartered specifically to prevent stupid ideas from ever becoming indoctrinated as Holy Radcliffian Law. While the power to enact Holy Radcliffian Law is limited to the Nine, the Quorum of Twelve serves to filter the good suggestions from the bad and only the good find themselves under consideration. The Twelve Quorum members represent the twelve signs of the western zodiac and are identified by the colonial name of each of these zodiac signs. All suggestions and ideas for the Church should be submitted to the Quorum for consideration.
The Priory and The Vorta
The Priory represents those ordained members of the clergy and The Vorta represent those members of the clery that are not. Traditionally the Priory has been responsible for spreading the Light that is Radcliffe into the darkness that is not. They serve as guideposts along the path of Radcliffe to their fellow congregants. The Vorta traditionally have fulfilled a variety of administrative and operational tasks. Both are largely responsible for the execution of virtually all Church functions.
The Jem'Hadar
The Jem'Hadar are the Holy Armies of Radcliffe. They serve to defend the Church and her followers from persecution, bad manners, Jaquish, rudeness, downtownfolk, antiRadcliffe zealotry, the Caval, nay-sayers, and wild animals. When the good tidings and merriment become disrupted, it is the Jem'Hadar that the Congregation turns to restore all that which we call Radcliffian.
Radcliffians (Everyone above and everyone else)
Those who have decided to not pursue an active role in the Church are plentiful and blessed. Hallowed are the Radcliffians.
